2003 The trees lean The trees lean in the forest, encouraged by wet snow— they are different from the rest, singled out to bend and break— yet these are the ones gathered by rays of sunlight that catch the ice on down swept branches— no! by starlight that catches us dreaming— a light shining in the darkness. —egh All Poems © Copyright 2003, E.
