Exposure

I am a dark spot against myself.

I nest in the exposure,
eyes focused

on the round mouth of the lens,
and behind it, you.

My face is a topography--

negative profile and shadowed,
here a river, here a road,
fixed set of scars and parts.

Snap the shutter, I come undone.
